1. The Service
   Bid the Band is a live-bidding platform that lets fans bid on encore songs at concerts and gigs. Local bands can list events, sell tickets, upload playlists, and receive fan bids.

2. Bids & Charges 

   • Bids are conditional pledges. Your card is only charged if the song you bid on is performed as an encore. 

   • Unsuccessful bids are never charged and automatically expire. 

   • All charges are final and non-refundable.

3. Platform Fees 

   • Local & mid-tier artists: 5–7% + Stripe fees. 

   • Stadium/global artists: 10% (usually donated to the artist’s chosen charity). 

   • Remaining proceeds are paid to the artist within 7 days of the event.

4. Ticket Purchases 

   • Tickets bought through the platform are subject to the venue/artist’s own refund policy (displayed at checkout). 

   • Bid the Band acts only as agent; we are not the seller of record.

5. Cancellations & Refunds 

   • If an event is cancelled, unsuccessful bids expire. Successful bids are refunded minus Stripe’s non-refundable processing fee. 

   • No refunds for “no encore” situations or if the artist chooses not to play any bid songs.

6. User Conduct 

   • You may not bid with intent to disrupt, spam, or harass. We reserve the right to void bids and ban users.

7. Intellectual Property 

   • Artists retain full ownership of their music and setlists. By uploading, you grant Bid the Band a limited licence to display and facilitate bidding.
